Cardboard, paper, and fabric

An exploration of the “Six Swans” fairytale, with visual and performative elements, that focuses on the sister in the story who must stay silent for 6 years and make shirts out of “star flowers” to break her brothers’ curse of being turned into swans. 

In one version of the story, it is mentioned that the female protagonist sits in a tree while sewing her shirts, so as I sat in the “tree” during my performance, I stayed silent in order to emphasize the struggle this character endured.
